Diamond Exploration Vessel

On Saturday 9. January 2016, the highly specialized and technologically advanced SS Nujoma, slid down the slipway at Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway. Our Polish CUBIC Partner HG Solution Sp. Z.o.o. supplied the vessels three main switchboards. After outfitting and sea trials, the ship continued to South Africa for installation of the subsea mineral sampling system.

SS Nujoma, owned by Debmarine Namibi, is a deep-water mineral exploration vessel with a primary focus on diamonds. It is the most advanced marine diamond exploration vessel in the world. The 113 metre-long diesel-electric powered vessel has a displacement of 12,000 tonnes and can accommodate a crew of 80. Additionally it is equipped with a helicopter deck.

The switchboards were completed by Polish CUBIC partner HG Solution Sp. Z.o.o. and included three main switchboards (690 V, 440 V, 230 V), one emergency switchboard, one MCC switchboard and a switchboard dedicated to mission equipment.
