Our Kazakh CUBIC Partner Silumin-Vostok LLC completed a project at the AES Ust-Kamenogorsk CHP LLC, which is a combined heat and electricity producer with an annual output of 1291 MWh and 2902 Gcal respectively.
The coal fired power plant, built in 1939, has in recent years gone through a major update and renovation programme, facilitating the plant to meet the ever increasing requirements of the surrounding industry and municipality. The focus is to decrease the environmental impact as well as to introduce the latest available technologies.
The update programme includes renovation of turbine 11 and construction of turbine 12. Silumin-Vostok LLC has in partnership with CUBIC, supplied switchboards for both turbines.
