Our CUBIC partner, OOO Universal-Electric, recently completed a main switchboard for a technological line for PhosAgro-Cherepovets. The Russian company, who is the largest producer of phosphate-based fertilizers and phosphoric and sulphuric acids in Europe, needed a futureproof switchboard solution able to deliver next generation capacity. To achieve this, a 2500A panel was built, to supply several sub-switchboards of ventilation and smoke exhaust in case of fire, ignition control etc.
The CUBIC Modular System was the key to utilise the limited space in the best possible way. By combining different functional units in the switchboard, the versatility of the modular system in combination with Cu-Flex, made it possible for Universal-Electric, not only to create the necessary space for the required components, but also made the construction simple and time saving. Both are obvious benefits, that truly underlines the power of the modular system. On top, PhosAgro-Cherepovets achieved a future-proof solution with no maintenance required of the busbar system.
All mainboards consist of a draw-out and MCCB column. The components of the draw-out column are connected by Cu-flex, which are also applied to connect the busbar trunking system to the busbars.
