We have tested both a 1000A and a 1600A MCCB.
The MCCBs have been tested as both incoming and outgoing compartments..
In addition to these new MCCBs, the circuit breakers we recommend for mounting in the Circuit Breaker Installation manual are, of course, verified at all points according to IEC 61439-2, including clearance and creepage distances, degree of protection, frequency and voltages a. o.
These MCCBs have been tested with the following data:
Fixed-mounted Siemens MCCB, type 3VA2510 ETU320, 1000A
- Prospective short circuit at IP54: 80 kA
- Load at IP54: 850A
- Load at IP43: 1000A
Retractable siemens MCCB, type 3VA2716 ETU350, 1600A:
- Prospective short circuit at IP54: 80 kA
- Load at IP54: 1050A
- Load at IP43: 1300A
All the verifications were done under the observation of DEKRA, which has issued both test reports and AOC (Attestation Of Conformity).
In all short circuit tests of components, DEHN arc sensors are installed to see if any spark can be detected as an arc and thus trigger an unintended disconnection of the switchboard.
