Killyhevlin Clear Water Tank MCC

Northern Ireland Water’s EUR 10 million investment at Killyhevlin Water Treatment Works, Enniskillen, is expected to bring major benefits to the security of the water supply to customers in Fermanagh and Clogher Valley.

The Killyhevlin plant treats water from the River Erne and supplies around 36 million litres of water per day to Fermanagh and the Clogher Valley.

The upgrade work has involved the construction of a new clear water storage tank on site providing essential support for water services, particularly during emergency situations, as well as improving the security of the water supply and drinking water quality.

CUBIC partner R&R Engineering’s largest MCC build to date is situated in a 1st floor switch room located within a new 65 metre pump hall on the Killyhevlin WTW site. This MCC provides controls for 6 duty/standby pump sets ranging from 55KW to 315KW – pumping from the new clear water tank to various pumping stations throughout Fermanagh and all process controls involved.
