On behalf of CUBIC, a Rockwell Automation Company, we are looking for a Hardware Development Engineer for designing enclosures for the electrical industry. You will collaborate with a team of colleagues, implement new product development projects and work with the customer on the development of high-quality technical solutions.
As a Hardware Development Engineer at CUBIC, you will be part of a technical team with 15 accomplished colleagues. You will play a central role and have a broad contact surface both internally and externally. You will focus on development and will be responsible for many exciting technical projects based on CUBIC’s strategy.
Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will work with development tasks that have been selected based on an overall strategy, where an idea proposal is the basis for your project and your own product specification. From here, you are the project manager for the entire project process, including the implementation of the solution. Depending on the scope of the project and the stakeholders involved, the schedules can vary from a few months to years. The products and projects you will work on contribute directly to CUBIC’s future development.
Your working day is divided between your own specific design tasks and support for customers. In addition to colleagues in the Danish development department, you will also work with colleagues across CUBIC/Rockwell Automation’s international organization.
You come from a similar role today, where you are responsible for technical product development – preferably in a role where project progress has been created through a driving and coordinating work effort. As we work with equipment that must meet directives supported by product standards such as IEC, UL ATEX, experience with this is an advantage.
You have a relevant education, probably at bachelor’s level or higher, with a technical professional focus as an electrical or mechanical engineer, marine engineer or similar. Experience with construction in 3D programs is an advantage, just as experience with design and construction of low-voltage switchboards is an additional plus.
